Mark joined the industry in 1987, originally with Pearl Assurance, progressing over the years and setting up his own business with Allied Dunbar in 1996. In 1998 he then co-formed the Partnership of GMT Mortgage Bureau & Financial Consultancy and became a Founder Executive Member of Zurich Wealth Management in 2002. In 2013 Mark set up his own Practice under the umbrella of GMT, trading as Mark Anthony Monk Financial Consultancy. With a vast wealth of experience, Mark offers expert advice on Mortgages, Protection, Investments and Retirement Planning, together with Inheritance Tax Planning for Personal and Corporate Clients. Esther has been in the financial services industry since 1987 when she joined HSBC Bank. She has progressed her career, working in the Banking Sector, Estate Agency and Building Societies and has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in these areas over the last 30 years plus. Esther obtained her CeMAP Mortgage Advice Qualification in 2006 and in 2018 joined Mark Anthony Monk Financial Consultancy and specialises in providing Financial Advice on Mortgages, Protection and General Insurance. Esther looks forward to being able to assist you with your Mortgage and Financial Planning requirements both now and an ongoing basis.

Helen has over 16 years experience in the Financial Services industry mainly with knowledge in the administration of mortgages, protection and general insurance. Helen is now working closely with Mark in all aspects of the business with her main role being the coordination and oversight of the Client Management system and Investment platforms.

Angela first started working in the Financial Services Industry in 1998 when she joined a Financial Consultancy Practice within Allied Dunbar. During the next few years Allied Dunbar evolved into Zurich Advice Network and then in 2005 it created Openwork, which is now one of the largest financial advice businesses in the UK and one that Mark Anthony Monk Financial Consultancy continues to represent to this day.

Having previously worked in a city environment, when Angela joined us in 2016, she explained how good it felt to work in her home town of Coleford and to be part of the local community again.

Angela has gained vast knowledge and experience over the 20+ years in the administration of Investments, Pensions, Mortgages and Protection. She works closely with Mark in all aspects of the Practice, providing support on all business processing, as well as assisting in the management of our Investment Platform and Client Management System. With her methodical approach and vast experience it has equipped her well to offer our valued clients the best possible administrative support and service.
